      At a young age Mike knew his passion was geared towards the health and fitness industry. After winning his first title, Mr. Missouri, in 1988 he became inspired to open his own gym and did so in 1996. Ever since he has been helping people achieve their fitness goals through his experience and knowledge as a personal trainer.

    Pilates

    Pilates is a conditioning routine that may help build flexibility, muscle strength, and endurance in the legs, abdominals, arms, hips, and back.[4] It puts emphasis on spinal and pelvic alignment, breathing, and developing a strong core or center, and improving coordination and balance. Pilates’ system allows for different exercises to be modified in range of difficulty from beginning to advanced. Intensity can be increased over time as the body conditions and adapts to the exercises.

    Zumba involves dance and aerobic elements. Zumba’s choreography incorporates hip-hop, soca, samba, salsa, merengue, mambo and martial arts. Squats and lunges are also included.
